The Role
To lead and manage HR Sales Cycles, TUPE transition and Change Managements (Redundancy exercises) of projects as assigned.
To work in conjunction with all internal stakeholders including sales and delivery teams on sales cycles, people transition, change management and planning activities for the projects assigned.
Key responsibilities:
•Developing a progressive, business focused strategy that meets the current and future needs of the projects assigned
•Regularly providing up to date and accurate UK employment law and employee relations advice on a range of topics, including complex or sensitive matters
•Identifying and analyzing options, ensuring the most workable, appropriate and commercially beneficial initiative or intervention is considered, planned and subsequently implemented where necessary
•Conducting investigations on complex and sensitive matters for the project.
•Managing all potential legal threats and risks effectively ensuring that both the business reputation and brand is fully protected.
•Developing and managing relations internally: directors, employee bodies, corporate and external third parties: trade union officials, legal counsel, occupational health providers etc
•Drafting all legally compliant paperwork and documentation during TUPE and Restructuring Exercises and issuing, once checked, to the relevant parties correctly and on time
•Ensuring that all records and documentation relating to employee transition and change management are maintained, up to date and stored correctly for the project.
•Training managers and other individuals in TUPE and change management.
•Undertaking and performing any such similar tasks and duties in line with the nature and purpose of the role `
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
•In depth knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations, particularly with regards to TUPE, redundancy, restructuring/reorganization, dismissals worker representation, grievances.
•A working and practical knowledge of TUPE principles and regulations
•Capable of both strategic and operational work
•Ability to successfully apply knowledge to the workplace
•Skilled in dealing with people and groups (conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, overcoming resistance, sensitivity)
•Common sense and pragmatic
•Strong sense of focus and determination with a demonstrated skill of seeing things through despite difficult challenges and obstacles
•Good communication skills – written, verbal and telephone – including ability to present information to groups and to conduct difficult and sensitive conversations.
•Influencing skills with an ability “think on your feet”
•Problem solving
•Significant experience of planning, handling and managing complex TUPE Transition including restructuring/reorganization, redundancies.
•Good years of TUPE and Restructuring experience
•Track record of handling and resolving contentious people issues
•Substantial experience in formal consultation and negotiation with worker representatives and employees
•Successfully managing all types of individuals, agendas and issues
