About the Role: UI Tech Lead

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated UI Tech Lead to guide our talented team in building exceptional user experiences. You'll be instrumental in shaping our product's UI direction, fostering team growth, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.

You'll be Responsible For:

• Leading and Nurturing a High-Performing Team: You'll lead a team of 5-7 top-notch UI developers, fostering their technical and professional growth. This includes handling developer career progression, mentoring, and crafting individual development plans for team members. You'll also effectively manage both high and low performers, providing guidance and support, and offer regular, constructive feedback to help them grow.
• Strategic Technical Leadership & Project Delivery: You'll create and own the technical roadmap for the UI products you're working on. This role involves driving the entire project lifecycle, from problem-solving, UI design, and technical solutioning to meticulous planning and execution. You'll deep-dive into technical aspects, offering hands-on support for new features and bug resolution, and will be key in identifying and addressing technical debts.
• Quality Assurance & Collaboration: You'll set robust quality guardrails for the team, ensuring our UI deliverables are always top-notch. Collaboration is key; you'll work closely with Product Managers, Business teams, Design teams, Architects, and Backend teams to plan and execute projects seamlessly. You'll also provide timely and transparent updates to stakeholders on project progress and any blockers.

About the Role: UI Tech Lead

As a UI Tech Lead at Flipkart, you'll be at the forefront of tackling the immense scale and rapid growth that define our operations. Our systems, including the UI, are constantly challenged by the high traffic Flipkart experiences, and you'll play a critical role in ensuring our applications gracefully handle this demand.

You'll lead the development of our consumer-facing website and web applications, taking end-to-end ownership of the software. A key aspect of your role will be to collaborate closely with backend developers and product owners, breaking down complex UI/UX flows into actionable tasks to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of new features. Your expertise will directly impact the millions of users who interact with Flipkart daily.

What You'll Be Doing:

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• Proven Leadership Experience: Extensive experience in leading 5-7 developers, with a strong track record of fostering developer career growth and managing individual performance. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop individual development plans for your team.
• Deep UI Technical Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and React Native. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and CDN setup is crucial.
• Problem-Solving and Project Management Prowess: Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving, UI design, technical solutioning, project planning, and execution.
• Quality Champion: Experience with setting and enforcing quality guardrails for a development team, and a strong ability to deep-dive into technical aspects to assist with problem-solving for both new features and bug resolution.
• Collaborative Spirit: Experience working closely with diverse stakeholders (Product Managers, Business teams, Design teams, Architects, Backend teams) to plan and execute projects.
• Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills for providing regular feedback to team members and presenting project updates to stakeholders.
• Mobile Development Bonus: Experience in mobile development for both Android and iOS is a significant advantage.
