Job Description: As a Senior Cloud Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our clients. You will be responsible for the architecture, deployment, and optimization of infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are scalable, secure, and highly available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture & Design:
• Design and implement highly scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions on GCP.
• Develop and document cloud architecture patterns, blueprints, and best practices.
• Provide guidance on selecting appropriate cloud services and tools to meet business requirements.
• Infrastructure Management & Automation:
• Automate deployment and management of cloud resources using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost management.
• Security & Compliance:
• Ensure the security of cloud-based applications and infrastructure by implementing best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance controls.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure cloud infrastructure meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration & Mentoring:
• Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and other teams to integrate cloud solutions into applications.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
• Participate in architectural reviews and code reviews.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
• Implement cloud monitoring and logging solutions using GCP tools like Stackdriver to ensure the reliability and health of cloud services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure-related issues promptly.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 10+ years of experience working in cloud environments, with at least 6+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and VPC.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, or Shell.
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, and GCP security services.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Google Stackdriver.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and propose solutions.
