Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer to join our QA team in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles and a proven track record of identifying bugs and ensuring software quality across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute detailed manual test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and end-to-end testing.
  • Log, manage, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide timely feedback.
  • Identify test data requirements and prepare necessary data for testing activities.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Proficient in creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 

Desirable Skills (Not Mandatory):

  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
  • Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
