Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Guest Service Associate - Food & Beverage Service to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a key member of our food and beverage department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests through attentive service and efficient operations.

Greet and seat guests, providing menus and answering questions about food and beverages

Take accurate food and drink orders, communicating effectively with kitchen staff

Serve meals and beverages in a timely and professional manner

Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions

Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including table setup and reset

Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns

Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service

Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP regulations

Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory

Stay informed about menu items, daily specials, and any changes in offerings

Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance service quality

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management

Qualifications

Proven experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting

Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

Excellent communication abilities in English, both verbal and written

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Team player with a collaborative attitude

Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette

Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures

Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling bills

Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry trays and equipment up to 25 pounds

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Knowledge of HACCP regulations and food safety practices

Awareness of safety and emergency procedures

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food service are a plus
