Project Description:

We are seeking a skilled BODS Administrator to manage and support our SAP BusinessObjects Data Services environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of BODS systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities:

Installation & Configuration:

• Install and configure SAP BusinessObjects Data Services and its components (Designer, Repository, Management Console, etc.).

• Set up and maintain secure connections to databases, applications, and external systems.

System Administration:

• Perform daily monitoring of BODS environments, ensuring optimal system performance and data loads.

• Troubleshoot and resolve BODS-related issues, including failed jobs, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.

• Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance as required.

Performance Tuning:

• Analyze and optimize performance of ETL jobs, queries, and system resources.

• Implement and maintain best practices for BODS design and development.

User & Security Management:

• Manage user access and permissions within the BODS environment, ensuring compliance with security policies.

• Support user authentication and single sign-on integration.

Backup & Disaster Recovery:

• Ensure regular backups of repositories and metadata.

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for BODS systems.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, customizations, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Provide regular reports on system performance, job successes/failures, and resource usage.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Proven experience in administering SAP BusinessObjects Data Services.

• Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and data warehousing concepts.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in BODS components (Designer, Repository, Management Console, etc.).

• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.), database design, and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with scripting and automation for job management.

Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:

• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely and efficient manner.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical teams and stakeholders.

• Certifications (Preferred):

• SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP BusinessObjects Data Services.
