Position: Software Developer
Experience: 2–4 years (Flexible based on role level)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled CAD Developer with experience in Telecom Network Design & Automation. The candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining CAD-based tools and workflows that enable efficient telecom network planning, design. The role requires strong knowledge of CAD platforms (AutoCAD/ProgeCAD/MicroStation) and understanding of telecom network engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and customize CAD tools/scripts (AutoLISP, .NET, VBA, etc.) to automate telecom network design tasks.
Work with project teams to understand telecom network design requirements (FTTx, OSP, ISP, FTTH, Pole/Conduit Layouts, etc.).
Create and manage telecom-specific CAD templates, layers, symbols, and line types to ensure standardization.
Automate BOM (Bill of Materials) & BOQ (Bill of Quantities) generation from CAD drawings.
Integrate CAD design workflows with enterprise applications (GIS, IQGeo, Smallworld, etc.).
Debug and resolve tool issues, perform UAT, and ensure tool deployment stability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Automation, AI/ML, RPA teams) to enhance productivity.
Maintain version control, documentation, and adhere to SDLC processes in tool development.
Support knowledge sharing, user training, and tool adoption within the team.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD/ProgeCAD/QGIS with customization experience.
Proficiency in AutoLISP, C#/.NET, Python, VBA for CAD automation.
Experience in Telecom Network Design (FTTx, OSP, ISP, FTTH preferred).
Good understanding of CAD standards (layers, symbols, blocks, line styles, templates).
Familiarity with GIS tools (ArcGIS, IQGeo) is an added advantage.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
