About the Role

As part of the Supply Chain Digital Automation team, you will be a key contributor to the supply chain related web applications that can interact and work across the Flipkart ecosystem. You are expected to help design, develop, and maintain AI first enterprise grade web applications & digital solutions which helps our supply chain become faster and accurate. You will collaborate closely with the design team, product and tech teams and other engineers to deliver features that enhance the user experience and drive our business forward. Furthermore, you will also need business acumen to evaluate the projects holistically from the org perspective. 

About the team

Flipkart is making eCommerce happen in India. Supply chain is the backbone of the Flipkart ecosystem. We in the Digital Automation team have the responsibility of making this supply chain faster, cost effective and error free.

We in the Supply Chain Digital automation team customise technologies and build applications to our need and then design and deploy the solution across our network. As the nature of work is highly exploratory and innovative, team structure is flat and highly collaborative. Our team works closely with design team, operations team,  product and tech teams, and multiple other stakeholders as required for each initiative, to drive the project from concept to execution. We take pride in quick prototyping, testing deep waters early on with on-ground POC, and launching robust products at scale with unprecedented velocity.

You are Responsible for

• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices.
• Leading successful delivery of the features and modules assigned to you from concept till execution and scale-up
• Actively participating in code reviews and proactively seeking stakeholder feedback to maintain high standards of user experience and robust scalable products.
• Owning the entire SDLC and success metrics such as adherence, reliability and accuracy for the developed products

To succeed in this role – you should have the following

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (1-2 years) in web development, with a solid understanding of both front-end and back-end systems.
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and their applications.
• Familiarity with fundamental system design principles.
• Since most of our products are used by field executives and operators, you will be expected to build simple and easy to use UI/UX
• Prior experience in an e-commerce environment is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong bias for action and ownership mindset
• Ability to multitask and work on a diverse range of requirements
• Ability and strong willingness to learn on the job and build relevant skill sets
• Willingness to travel
• Attention to detail
