About the Role

Seeking a proactive and highly organized candidate for Assistant Manager - Projects to centrally coordinate and monitor our pan-India supply chain infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and seamless execution. This pivotal role involves end-to-end ownership of assigned projects, requiring strong stakeholder management and exceptional communication skills. The candidate will have to work collaboratively with various internal teams and business leaders across Real Estate, Design, Procurement, Business Finance, Safety, and Operations to achieve common project goals, including landlord infrastructure readiness and efficient vendor payment processing.

About the team

Our Supply Chain Infrastructure Development & Realization Team is the driving force behind Flipkart's robust and efficient supply chain network. We spearhead the entire lifecycle of infrastructural and process-driven projects, from initial design coordination through to successful execution and realization. Our work forms the very backbone of Flipkart's first-mile facilities, hyper-local stores, and critical strategic initiatives on advanced automation
 

You are Responsible for

* Infrastructure Deployment Coordination: Lead and coordinate the deployment of supply chain infrastructure projects across various locations in India, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact and effectively collaborate with internal teams such as Real Estate for site readiness, Design for specifications, Procurement for vendor engagement, Business Finance for budget management, Safety for compliance, and Operations for seamless integration.
* Landlord Liaison: Work closely with landlords to ensure timely completion of their responsibilities related to infrastructure readiness, proactively addressing any potential delays.
* Vendor Payment Facilitation: Coordinate with the processing team to ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices related to project deployments, resolving any payment-related issues.
* Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential roadblocks and proactively develop solutions to ensure smooth project progression. Escalate critical issues to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare regular status reports for management

To succeed in this role – you should have the following

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred)
* 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, implementation, or deployment, preferably within a supply chain, logistics, real estate, or construction context.
* Proven agility to learn and adapt to new situations and technologies quickly.
Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to support the team on critical projects as needed.
* Strong stakeholder management & Communication skills with a proven ability to effectively interact and influence diverse internal and external partners.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with project management software is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel across India as required.
